Nutrition's Blue Zones Webinar

Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

In our Department of Nutrition, we believe wellness doesn't have to be complicated. Throughout the world there are health havens  called Blue Zones.  Blue Zones are regions that have longer life expectancy terms within their population, have low rates of chronic diseases and have overall healthier lifestyles. The Blue Zones demonstrate how practicing simple, consistent daily habits that promote both mental and physical wellness are the secret sauce to a long, healthy life. Next week, we are focusing on the Blue Zone island of Ikaria, Greece. No, they aren't chugging superfood smoothies or running marathons, but they are eating plants, drinking wine and taking naps! Join our Department of Nutrition Faculty Chair, Dr. Hope Barkoukis, for a crash course about why slowing down, working out, taking a breather and enjoying family (with a side of beans) may be just what you may need to get a great start to the school year.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
