Bioethics and Medical Humanities Program Presents: Ethics in the Hospital

Our Master of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at Case Western Reserve University may be just the thing you are looking for! Our Clinical Ethics Rotations course is required for all students allowing students to experience bedside application of ethics for 160 hours of clinical experience

    Join us on Wednesday, October 19 from 6- 6:30 pm EDT with Mark Aulisio, PhD, as we discuss the topic of Ethics in the Hospitals including:
    • Ethical Dilemmas: do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders, advanced directives, decision making, capacity, withdrawal of artificial nutrition, organ transplantation, and non-beneficial treatment
    • Teaching Hospitals: Cleveland Clinic, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, MetroHealth System, and University Hospitals of Cleveland
    • Rotations Opportunities: Rounds (ICUs, medical, pediatrics, burn, trauma, and interdisciplinary), Committees (ethics, transplants, research, policy), 1:1 with Healthcare Professionals (physicians, NPs, living donor advocates, chaplains, genetic counselors and social workers)

    Other topics we will cover include customizing the program to your career path, application requirements, and program outcomes.
